What they're saying about us...
Below you will find articles and reviews of our cooking school in Umbria as well as comments from clients who have taken our cooking classes and those who have dined with us at Tita's house near Perugia or had a dinner catered at a villa rental.
The following are recent comments from clients of our Italian cooking classes in Umbria in 2010.
Hi Nonie,
Finally a proper thank you from all of us for the exceptional day we spent cooking with you. The hospitality you extended to our small group was so genuine and appreciated. The food was delicious and we all had so much fun. We also learned so much new cooking information! We have been doing our best to replicate the dishes we prepared under your guidance. I thought you would enjoy the photos I took that day.
Thank you again for a very wonderful day. We hope to see you again when we return to Italy.
Best regards,
Jan Heaton, Cathy Casey, Melissa Keane and Cheryl Coffman
Hello to you and Tita, from Kim and I in Australia. We did your cooking course on April 20th and we have to say it was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. The food was magnificent, the setting was just beautiful and we really enjoyed the conversations we had with you both on the day. Your warm welcome to total strangers from the other side of the world made sure that the day will live long in our memories. We are planning to cook some of the dishes over the next few weeks so we will keep our fingers crossed. I have attached a couple of photos from the day and we would be more than happy to recommend you to anyone who is travelling in Italy. Tell Tita to let us know if she is going to make the trip to Australia; we would love to show her around Sydney.
Once again, thank you for a wonderful experience.
Kind Regards, Brad Mitchell

Mike and I are back home in Georgia and have been telling everyone about the wonderful time we had with both of you. Our trip to Umbria was the best of all our trips to Italy, and your cooking class was the highlight of those two weeks. We liked everyone of the dishes we made and plan to cook them all. As a matter of fact, tonight we are going to prepare Tortina Rustica! The two of you were so much fun and made us feel very welcome in Tita's beautiful home. I was especially impressed with how much time you had spent in the "prep work" before we got there so the actual preparation felt effortless. We will always remember the time we spent with you and we send you our best wishes and sincere thanks for your hospitality.
Warm regards,
Joan and Mike

Nonie ... Our group continues to rave about the cooking lesson you and Tita (sp?) provided. We loved every bit of it ... your focus, the food, the instruction, the cultural component, the fun! Gaetano, our villa host, was quite interested, and we passed on your name and website to him. Certainly this event was a memorable one for all eight of us, and added to our wonderful Umbrian days!

Best cooking lesson ever. Definitely 5 star dinning.

Nonie and Tita,
We are finally back in the US and wanted to send you pictures of our time with you. We had such an amazing time. We can’t thank you enough. We hope to start trying out your recipes for our holiday party next week. We love our aprons and and memories of our fantastic afternoon/evening with you. Thank you so much.
The rest of trip was grand..just wonderful, Orvietto was great, Naples and Sorrento, and finally Roma! But you started us off in grand style. I’ve only come up with one question so far… What was the Italian cheese that you used with the arugula in the flatbread?
Grazie!!!
Ciao!

Thanks so much for a wonderful afternoon of Umbrian cooking. What better way to learn about the foods of Umbria than to cook the specialties with a fabulous cook in her lovely home. John particularly enjoyed the integration of regional recipes (arabiata) and the fine points such as dried parmesan. We had fun and loved the dishes as well as being with you. We will try the recipes when we get home.

Dear Nonie and Tita,
We have just finished eating Spaghetti with Caramelised Tomatoes with Parmesan from Citta di Castello! We followed the recipe and it was delicious.
We wanted to write and thank you so much for a lovely afternoon of cooking on the 20th. We all enjoyed ourselves enormously and learnt a lot. Macsen had a fantastic time and he is desperate now to get on with making some pizza! It was such a delightful experience – much to learn, huge amounts of fun and delicious food at the end. Thanks!
We would have written sooner but we only arrived home on Friday – four days late- after 5 trains and several hotels. Thanks to the volcano of course. Hope all is well with you.
Best wishes and lots of love.

Dear Nonie and Tita,
Linda and I are now back in Chicago, and we wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our cooking lesson with you. How much? Enormously! It was a highlight of our trip. We learned a lot (and are enjoying reproducing the dishes here at home), had a ton of fun, and enjoyed the food and wine as we ate the lunch we prepared. We thank you for your graciousness and hospitality, we will certainly not hesitate to recommend you to others, and we look forward to doing it again in the future.
Best wishes,
Ken and Linda Robin
Hi Nonie and Tita,
Just to let you know we are thinking about you and about what a great time we had with both of you. It was a great experience and we have told everyone about your class and what we attempted to make with your guidance. Haven't yet made any of the recipes but will try in Florida when we plan to have an Italian homemade dinner. Don't think it will turn out the same but who cares, right? It is the attempt that counts. And Normie (who has never cooked ever) actually is keen to partake in the dinner. If we have a problem, we might even attempt to contact you!! Anyway it was a pleasure being with you and you made it easier than expected. You can be sure we will recommend you if ever we hear of friends traveling around the Perugia area. And we will be sending you a picture soon. Ciao for now.
